One-to-One Sessions

  • 60-minute sessions (55 minutes in the summer)
  • In-Person and Virtual sessions are available.

Every child has a unique learning profile, and one-to-one instruction makes it possible to meet students exactly where they are. Individualized reading, writing, and math sessions are thoughtfully designed to provide multisensory, evidence-based, and explicit instruction tailored to each learner’s specific strengths and needs.

Ongoing observations and data collection guide instruction, and spiral review supports long-term retention. Providing a supportive learning environment allows students to feel comfortable taking risks and building confidence.

One-to-one sessions are a great fit for students who are below grade level, benefit from individualized support, or are looking for enrichment.

Reading instruction focuses on developing strong foundational skills, including phonics, fluency, comprehension, spelling, and written expression at the sentence level. After an initial assessment, a learning plan will be created to fit your child’s specific needs.

Writing instruction begins at the sentence level to ensure students understand sentence structure and development. When ready, students learn to build strong paragraphs and expand ideas with meaningful details, essential skills for effective essay writing. Older students are guided through the process of organizing, drafting, and revising essays, with scaffolds gradually removed to promote independence.

Math instruction may focus on closing skill gaps, providing grade-level support, or offering enrichment, depending on student needs. Since math programs vary widely from school to school, Bright Path Learning reviews your child’s curriculum and conducts an initial assessment to ensure they have the foundational skills needed to access and succeed with current materials.

One-to-One Orton-Gillingham Intervention

  • 60-minute sessions (55 minutes in the summer)
  • Minimum of 2 sessions a week to ensure progress
  • Lessons provided by a dyslexia practitioner

Orton-Gillingham is an evidence-based approach to teaching that is diagnostic and prescriptive, meeting the child where they are, supporting their individual needs, and building on previously taught skills. Language-based multisensory lessons are explicitly taught and progress from general to more complex skills.

Ongoing observations and data collection during each lesson guide instruction, allowing your child to progress at a comfortable pace while building strong skills and growing confidence.

Small Group Classes

  • 45-minute sessions
  • 3-6 students per class, depending on the age and subject

Small-group instruction is a great way to strengthen specific reading, writing, or math skills that may need a boost or extra practice while learning alongside your peers. Each lesson will include direct instruction and guided practice, followed by interactive practice, often through games or group activities, which will reinforce skills in an engaging way.

Summer Work Support

  • 1-1 sessions tailored to your child’s needs
  • Group sessions will be based on subject and grade level.
  • Sessions will last 55 minutes

Bright Path Learning offers individualized 1-1 and small-group sessions designed to make summer assignments more manageable and less stressful.

Students participating in 1-1 sessions receive a personalized work plan along with targeted support when errors occur, helping them strengthen skills, build understanding, and gain confidence. During sessions, assignments are previewed to ensure directions are clear and that the student has the tools and understanding needed to complete tasks independently at home. Completed work is reviewed by the tutor, and additional instruction is provided as needed to reinforce concepts and address errors.

Small-group sessions are organized by grade level and subject area. These sessions allow students to complete assignments under a tutor’s guidance while benefiting from structured work time, accountability, and regular instructor check-ins. Small-group support is ideal for students who need help with time management, organization, and staying on pace with summer requirements.
